It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
The beautiful time of year that we reflect on EVERYTHING lol.
The end of the year proves to be the season of great introspection–thinking about what went right in our lives and where there is room for improvement.
But since you’re reflecting anyway, why don’t we create a little ritual that will allow for you focus on what you want through the power of visualization and begin to bring it to life.
Visualizing is a powerful internal tool to creating our reality long before it actually appears.
And if you think it’s a bunch of whoo woo-ness, think again. There are a few people you may know that used the power of visualization to create the life of their dreams. Does Jim Carey, Will Smith or Oprah ring a bell?
During an Oprah interview, Jim Carey mentioned the power visualizing had on his life and career. In the early 90’s, Jim was still a struggling actor. So he decided to write himself a $10 million dollar check for “acting services rendered” dated to be despot in 1994. He kept the check in his wallet and everyday visualized him receiving the check. In 1994 he made $10 million for his role in Dumb and Dumber. And today he is one of America’s top movie stars.
Now you don’t have to be a celebrity to make your visualizations come to life. We can also apply logic to this whole thing. If you’re constantly visualizing what you want, you’ll keep your eyes on the prize. You’ll use it as motivation to take actions towards your goals.
This is the secret. Visualizing your desires, keeps you and your brain in the realm of possibility because sometimes we not only have to see it, we have to feel that our desires can come true and act as if.
There are lots of techniques you can use but a well-known and popular one is to create a vision board.
Making a vision board helps you conture up all the wants, needs, desires, and positive vibes in one place. But it’s more than just cutting out some pictures and pasting them on a board—there is a process.
In today’s video we cover the process and turn into a therapeutic ritual in the process:
